She is inspired by the famous American "Punghys" and the New-Yorker pilot
"Dream" of Isaac Weeb, in 1833, I designed her in a pure classic-style.
She is not the fasted yacht of the "Dream" line, but fast enough to participate
in all classic regattas with good chances to win with a good crew of 8, fast
enough anyway to be a fast cruiser with her 2,700 sf. of sail area for light
wind and fun.
She has been designed following a serious "de-luxe" charter study market investigation
to be profitable at the best to be also a perfect owner's yacht able to pay
herself her expenses by seasonal charter because she is not so expensive for
her size, and needing only a good professional couple as crew she is an easy
sailing boat under her 3 boomy sails.
A giant cockpit with a lunch-waterside chart-table in the middle which is
also the house-hatch of the engine room under, down below is a big saloon
with professional open galley and chart-table, 2 steps down are 2 big guests
cabins with big heads giving 2 private apartments, and in front a very big
and comfortable crew quarter with head the desk dinghy is a 13' sailing one.
She is a beautiful, powerful, exclusive, fast cruising schooner, seaworthy
for all oceanic roads without any limitation of latitudes or weather forecast
a comfortable easy sailing yacht.
She is built upside down and turned over, the ballast is inside: ingots in
resin, the construction is of light cold moulded wood and epoxy on laminated
framing and need 18.000 hours of labour, plus cost of materials and full equipment.
